PVC-Rohre können daher oft ohne schweres Gerät verlegt werden. Auch der Transport der Rohre zur Baustelle sowie das Zuschneiden in verschiedene Längen sind mit PVC-Rohren um ein Vielfaches einfacher. Die einzelnen Rohrteile können aufgrund des Gewichtes und der Stabilität des Materials auch viel länger sein, weshalb weniger Verbindungsstücke benötigt werden. Der Zeitaufwand für die Verbindung sinkt dadurch enorm. Die Kosten des jeweiligen Tiefbauprojektes können entsprechend deutlich verringert werden. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die variable Form von PVC-Rohren: Unrundrohre (Non-Circular Pipes) eignen sich beispielsweise für die Neuauskleidung alter Entwässerungskanäle, welche oft unrunde Formen aufweisen.

Suhl, 05.11.2018.„Zunächst einmal sind Freihandelsabkommen zu begrüßen. So auch in diesem Fall. Dennoch erweitern Freihandelsabkommen im Zweifel auch kritische Entwicklungen“, erklären die Verantwortlichen der europäischen Genossenschaft Green Value SCE, die sich auf nachhaltige Investitionen spezialisiert hat. Doch fangen wir der Reihe nach an: Der Schweiz ist es gelungen ein Freihandelsabkommen mit Indonesien abzuschließen. Dies bestätigte das Eidgenössische Departement für Wirtschaft, Bildung und Forschung (WBF) aufgrund eines Berichtes des Schweizer Radio SRF. „Auch wenn zunächst noch technische Fragen geklärt werden müssen, sollen mittelfristig praktisch alle Zölle auf schweizerischen Ausfuhren nach Indonesien entfallen“, so Green Value SCE. Wie bereits beim Abkommen mit der Volksrepublik China sei es der Schweiz gelungen, ein Abkommen vor der EU abzuschliessen.

 

Gewaltiger Absatzmarkt

„Dass Indonesien für die kleine Schweiz dabei ein interessanter Partner ist, scheint verständlich“, erklären die Verantwortlichen der Green Value SCE Genossenschaft. Als eines der bevölkerungsmässig grössten Länder der Welt bietet einen riesigen Absatzmarkt. Da gibt es 260 Millionen Konsumentinnen und Konsumenten. 40 Millionen sind mittelständisch und suchen nach Qualitätsprodukten aus dem Westen“, sagte denn auch der Schweizer Bundesrat Johann Schneider-Ammann gegenüber Radio SRF. „Allerdings musste Schneider-Ammann auch Kritik einstecken. Es geht vorrangig um den Anbau von Palmölplantagen, für die in weiten Teilen Indonesiens Regenwald geopfert wurde und weiterhin wird“, so Green Value SCE Genossenschaft.

 

Kritik an Palmölexporten

„Kritik an verstärkten Palmölexporten wurde aus zweierlei Gründen laut: Zum einen geht es um die ökologischen Folgen, die durch einen Mehrexport noch verstärkt würden. Zum anderen geht es aber auch um die Konkurrenz zur Schweizer Ölsaatenproduktion“, erklären die Verantwortlichen der Green Value SCE Genossenschaft. Die Schweiz konnte nun offenbar eine Beschränkung des privilegierten Imports aushandeln. Laut WBF betragen die Zollrabatte auf Teilkontingente für Palmöl und seine Derivate 20 bis 40 Prozent. Damit sei die einheimische Ölsaatenproduktion nicht gefährdet, so dieselbe Mitteilung. Auch habe den Bedenken zur Nachhaltigkeit Rechnung getragen. So beinhaltet das Abkommen Bestimmungen zu Handel und nachhaltiger Entwicklung, die auch für die Palmölproduktion gelten. Danach würde Indonesien auch verpflichtet, die Einhaltung und Umsetzung der multilateralen Umweltabkommen sowie der Grundrechte der Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmer zu überwachen. Zudem solle das Land die nachhaltige Bewirtschaftung seiner Waldressourcen vorantreiben. „Ob diese Forderungen allerdings umgesetzt werden oder ob es sich nur um Lippenbekenntnisse handelt, sei dahingestellt. Ein im Hinblick auf die Bevölkerung vergleichsweise armes Land setzt gewiss andere Prioritäten und stellt die Wirtschaft vor den Umweltschutz. Hier wird man noch einen langen Weg gehen müssen“, erklären die Verantwortlichen der Green Value SCE Genossenschaft abschließend.
