„Eletrosensibel – Strahlenflüchtlinge in einer funkvernetzten Gesellschaft“

Mobilfunk ist in der heutigen Generation nicht mehr wegzudenken. Sorgen vernetzte Haushaltsgeräte im Smart Home bei den einen für Begeisterung, ist dieser Trend für die wenig bekannte Gruppe der Elektrosensiblen eine besorgniserregende Entwicklung.

Während eine Auswirkung des Mobilfunks in Form von Handysucht ein bekanntes Phänomen und in den Medien präsent ist, erhält das Thema Elektrosensibilität in der Öffentlichkeit wenig Beachtung. Mit ihrem Buch „Eletrosensibel – Strahlenflüchtlinge in einer funkvernetzten Gesellschaft“ wollen die beiden Autorinnen und Ärztinnen Christine Aschermann und Cornelia Waldmann-Selsam auf das Schicksal von Elektrosensiblen aufmerksam machen.

Das Buch schafft einen umfangreichen Überblick zum Thema. Dabei nehmen die zahlreichen Falldarstellungen einen großen Teil ein. Einleitend gibt es zunächst eine praxisnahe Beschreibung zur Elektrosensibilität sowie die Beweggründe der zwei Ärztinnen sich mit dem Thema Mobilfunk zu befassen. Schon zu den Anfängen von GSM wurden sie auf das Thema aufmerksam. Auf die Sicht der Wissenschaft wird ebenso eingegangen und so z. B. die Entstehung der Grenzwerte erläutert.

Neben den Falldarstellungen sind für Betroffene sicherlich die vorgestellten therapeutischen Möglichkeiten sowie allgemeinen Ratschläge von Interesse. Praktische Tipps gibt es zudem wie man in den eigenen vier Wänden die Strahlungsexposition verringern kann. Was Weiße Zonen sind und wo diese zu finden sind, wird ebenfalls erklärt.

Einen ironischen Blick in die Zukunft des Smart Home gibt es noch, bevor abschließend auf die Verflechtungen von Industrie, Wissenschaft, Politik und Medien eingegangen wird und Neuropsychiatrische Störungen und ihre Folgen für die Gesellschaft erörtert werden.

Nach Medizinstudium Weiterbildung zur Nervenärztin und Psychotherapeutin, tätig in psychosomatischer Klinik und eigener Praxis. Seit 1975 aktiv in gesundheits- und umweltpolitischen Organisationen, ab 1999 zum Thema Mobilfunk. Autorin mehrerer Fachartikel. Sie lebt im Allgäu.

Dr. Cornelia Waldmann-Selsam
Im Anschluss an das Medizinstudium Tätigkeit in verschiedenen Spezialgebieten, Weiterbildung in Umweltmedizin. 2004 Mitinitiatorin des Bamberger Appells gegen Mobilfunksendeanlagen. Mehrere Fachartikel. Sie ist verheiratet, Mutter zweier Töchter und lebt in Bamberg.
